According to an international publication, Robert Pattinson is in negotiations to play The Caped Crusader (The Batman) in Warner Bros’ upcoming film that will be directed by Matt Reeves. While Robert has not yet signed the film, report suggests he is the top most contender for the role. Warner Bros Studios who have the rights are yet to make an announcement for the same.
If 32-year-old Pattinson is indeed the next Batman, he will be the youngest actor to ever play the caped crusader on screen. While an official confirmation is awaited, the report says Pattinson will shortly close the deal and is studio’s final choice. The film will begin pre-production later this year.
This year, Pattinson will be seen in four films, High Life, The Lighthouse, The King and Waiting For Barbarians.
Reeves will also produce The Batman with Dylan Clark. It is set to release in June 25, 2021.
