Supermodel Naomi Campbell is raising money for the Ebola crisis by organising two charity fashion shows through her Fashion For Relief Foundation, which she established in the year 2005, to help raise money for the appeal to help those affected by the spread of the deadly virus.
Naomi Campbell is all set to host one fashion extravaganza in London and one in New York and it coincides with the cities’s fashion weeks in February 2015.
Naomi Campbell, recently admitted she was scared of the virus and hopes the event will help to educate the public over the crisis, which has already claimed the lives of over one thousand people in West Africa. The supermodel works with three orphanages in Africa.
Naomi Campbell, stated that she was becoming increasingly concerned about the Ebola virus and is determined to support the fight against Ebola.
According to Naomi Campbell, a large part of the society is unaware about what Ebola is and she wants to make people aware that Ebola does not discriminate.
This was the second time this week that one has seen Naomi Campbell express her charitable side earlier this week, she she posted her Wake-Up Call Selfie. The new internet craze involves celebrities posting selfies of themselves as they wake up in bed – and aims to raise money and awareness for UNICEF.
Her plans for her charitable catwalk is not the first time that Naomi Campbell has called upon the fashion industry to help raise money for charity, with her Fashion For Relief Foundation.
The first show raised money for the victims of Hurricane Katrina and she has since used the project to raise funds following the India terrorist attacks in 2009, the Haiti earthquake in 2010 and the most recent being Japan earthquake and tsunami in 2011.
We are very sure that post Naomi Campbell many such celebrities would come forward for this great cause that will help spread awareness about the Ebola virus.
