Shah Rukh Khan led an illustrious all star line up of Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah, Madhuri Dixit and Farah Khan for London show of Slam! The Tour.
Shah Rukh credited the Indian community based in Britain for Bollywood’s popularity and his own success and stated that, “London has always been the pioneer in terms of the Diaspora taking our films to the level that they have achieved. We are stars because of all the people here in London and Britain who have appreciated and backed our films.”
The entire team was in London to mark the conclusion of their worldwide concert, Slam! The Tour, at the O2 Arena that was pulsating with music, dance and loads of fun.
“The kind of Diaspora mix that you get here is perhaps the most varied and big in numbers. Personally, this is my favourite city for many, many reasons. We don’t do this for the money, we do this to make people happy, to entertain them, to make them smile and to say a big thank you for all the love they give to us.” added Shah Rukh Khan post the show.
Farah Khan went down memory lane and stated that the first time she came to London was to take part in the World Dance Championships which was in the year 1986.
“The last time I was at the 02 was with family and now I’ve come with bigger family. It’s a lot of fun. We’ve had a wonderful time. We have a lot of fun on stage. I think everyone’s become very comfortable with performing on stage now.” stated Abhishek Bachchan who just loves being on stage.
