If reports are anything to go by, then filmmaker Ken Ghosh is ready with a script for the sequel of Shahid Kapoor’s debut film Ishq Vishq.
According to the buzz, the sequel to the 2003 film will be produced by Kumar and Ramesh Taurani of Tips Industries Ltd. Just like the first installment, the sequel will also be college based rom-com, reports suggest.
However, as of now there is no confirmation about the casting of the film. The buzz is that the sequel will not have Shahid Kapoor but will feature newcomers in the lead roles. The script of the film is reportedly finalised and the decision on the lead actors will also be taken by the end of this month.
“Ken was keen on the sequel but wasn’t getting the right story. He finally found one and now it’s nearing completion. Despite having directed films like Fida and Chance Pe Dance, he is best remembered for Ishq Vishk, which was a box-office hit.” revealed a source close to the director.
“The script for the sequel of Ishq Vishq is almost finalised and we should have a cast in place within the next month or so. It’s a great brand which we always were keen to take forward. Like the first instalment, the sequel will also be an urban rom-com set in a college campus.” stated the producer of the film, producer Ramesh Taurani.
As far as Ken Ghosh is concerned, apparently he is still busy fine tuning the script of the film and once that is done shall get to it’s casting. Looks like both Ken and Mr. Taurani are in a hurry to make an announcement.
Now if this was a coincidence then great, if not, then one must say that it’s a good strategy by Ken Ghosh and producer Ramesh Taurani to make headlines.
