Balaji Telefilms Ltd. has appointed Sameer Nair, as their Group Chief Executive Officer. Samir Nair’s association with Balaji Telefilms Ltd. goes a long way, when Balaji Telefilms soap operas turned around the fortunes of Star Plus, where Sameer Nair was the programming head.
Sameer Nair has also served as the Chief Operating Officer of Star India, the company that operates Star Plus in India, before being appointed Chief Operating Officer at NDTV Imagine.
“It is an interesting and dynamic place, with a great scope for growth. I have exciting plans that I would like to share with the Board.” Samir Nair stated about Balaji Telefilms Ltd.
Referring to his long-standing relationship with the production house, he said, “I have enjoyed a wonderful association with the Kapoor family since 2000 following the launch of the hugely successful K Series on Star Plus and later with their shows on Imagine. Undoubtedly the team has done a remarkable job of creating one of the most vibrant entities in content generation.
