After the subsequent release and success of Kick, Sajid Nadiadwala has fast become one of the most powerful names in Bollywood. Last week Eros had acquired Sajid’s next Housefull 3, for about Rs. 100 crores.
“I’m happy to team up with Eros once more for this very popular series. Housefull 3 will be bigger and funnier and we are confident that together, we will once again successfully present some wholesome entertainment to audiences worldwide.” Sajid Nadiadwala said in a statement.
Housefull 3 stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez. The movie, promises to be a star studded laugh riot shot lavishly in London. Housefull 3 is set to go on floor in January 2015. The film is being directed by writer turned director duo Sajid-Farhad.
Coming on to his other projects, well UTV has signed a three film deal with Sajid Nadiadwala.
It is learnt that UTV has acquired the rights for Sajid Nadiadwala’s next three films, namely Phantom featuring Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif, Tamasha starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone and Sabir Khan’s next featuring Tiger Shroff for an estimated Rs. 200 crores as a minimum guarantee, with additional revenue that will come in from overflow from collections to acquire the three films.
Though official confirmation on the same is still pending, Phantom is expected to release in April 2015, while Tamasha is under production.
T-Series has also announced their deal with Sajid Nadiadwala. Bhushan Kumar, the head honcho of T-Series, has acquired the music Phantom, Tamasha and Sabir Khan’s next.
Year 2014 has been a very good year for Sajid Nadiadwala as he has belted out films like Kick, 2 States, Heropanti and Highway and looks like the coming year would also be as rocking.
