As expected, Salman Khan starrer Kick has managed to perform well at the Box Office. Kick was a winner from the word go and at the end of its first week the film has managed to collect approximately Rs. 164.09 crore nett at the Indian Box Office.
Kick released in about four thousand plus screens in India and with increased ticket price, did not disappoint both the makers as well the audiences who came in to watch Salman Khan.
The film had a huge opening (July 25, 2014) and the following days it went from strength to strength thus proving to be a huge money spinner at the Box office.
Kick collected about Rs. 26.40 core nett at the Indian Box Office on day one and stood rock solid at the Box Office in the days to follow.
Kick was hit by pre Eid festivities and managed to collect approximately Rs. 83.83 crore nett over its first weekend.
Kick is now expected to enter he Rs. 200 crore, becoming Salman’s highest grosser in the domestic market. Salman Khan’s biggest film so far has been Ek Tha Tiger which managed to collect close to Rs 200 crore nett at the Box Office.
Kick already marks Salman’s seventh entry into the Rs 100 crore club. Also if one looks at the collections ending week one Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3, Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express and Salman Khan’s Kick; well its Dhoom 3 that tops the list followed by Kick and then comes Chennai Express.
The skyrocketing business of the film is all set to continue in its second week with no major release till next Friday (August 08, 2014).
This year, the first film to enter the Rs 100 crore club was Jai Ho, which incidentally was the highest grosser before Kick took over. Kick had taken five days to enter the Rs 100 crore club.
With this one Salman Khan has proved his star power at the Box Office.
