Box Office: Raja Natwarlal Falls Flat

raja natwarlalAs expected Raja Natwarlal has had a desastrous run at the Box Office. The film got bad reviews and has also failed to empress the audiences and hence the collections at the end of its first weekend look dismal.

Raja Natwarlal has managed to collect about Rs 06.10 crore nett on Friday (August 29, 2014), Rs 05.15 crore nett on Saturday (August 30, 2014) and Rs 06.15 crore nett on Sunday (August 31, 2014), thus collecting about Rs 17.45 crore nett in its opening weekend.

One was expecting Raja Natwarlal to do well as it was Emraan Hashmi release after quite some time. Ghanchakkar (2013) that was his last release that had fallen flat at the Box Office.

For Emraan Hashmi, Raja Natwarlal was an important film as the last success film that he has been a part off was Raaz 3D, way back in the year 2012 but sadly this one opened to below par numbers and the word of mouth for the film was not very encouraging.

Next week, September 05, 2014 will see Mary Kom hit the silver screen. Now this Priyanka Chopra starrer is carrying good pre-release reports and will definitely give Raja Natwarlal a run for its money.

On the other hand, Mardaani is still going steady at the Box Office and as of now it looks tough for Raja Natwarlal to recover its cost as the film has reportedly being on a budget of about Rs 35 crore nett and with the way things are going the makes would suffer losses with this one.

Moral of the story: Kissing scenes cannot salvage a bad film.
