Aamir Khan, Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra took a joint decision to go with Rentrak as soon as they got to know about it.
“Commencing Rentrak operations in India, with tracking Box Office data is not only a landmark for us, but also for the Indian movie industry. Rentrak brings to India the expertise and experience of measuring box-office and serving movie industries in 40 countries. We trust the world will get to appreciate the true potential of Indian cinema, as much as the Indian industry gets to realize its own potential through the tools that Rentrak has created,” said Arturo Guillen, Vice President, Europe, Middle-East and Africa, in a press release.
PK now stands as the second biggest opening weekend grosser of the year after Happy New Year and has gone past films like Kick and Singham Returns.
