However, Kick remained steady and has managed to collect approximately Rs 27.15 crore nett at the Indian Box Office on day two (July 26, 2014), thus making it a total of Rs 53.65 nett in two days.
This spells good news for the makers of Kick and especially for Salman Khan who didn’t get a good response for his last screen outing with Jai Ho. Kick that also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all set to now reach the Rs 100 crore club soon.
Debut director Sajid Nadiadwala directed has surpassed Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger that had Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in teams of its Box Office collections for two days.
While Salman has broken his own Box Office record, it might not be able to break the record of Dhoom 3 of the fastest film to have made Rs 100 crore.
Kick was released in over four thousand screens in India and with increased ticket price, the film is expected to score a big numbers at the end of its first week.
But the business of Kick is expected to show huge jump on Sunday (July 27, 2014). Even during weekdays, the film is likely to maintain the same pace as it maintained during the weekend due to the Eid holiday across the country.
August 08, 2014, will see the release of Akshay Kumar’s Entertainment. Now this film is not carrying a good pre-release buzz and may not prove to be a threat to Kick but the following week; August 15, 2014 will see Ajay Devgn’s Singham Returns hit the screens and this one would surly give Kick the run for its money.
