The film managed to collect Rs 05.04 crore nett on Friday (June 12, 2015), on Saturday (June 13, 2015) it did not show much improvement and managed to collect Rs 05.15 crore nett, on Sunday (June 14, 2015) the film did show a rise and collected about Rs 06.30 crore nett, on Monday (June 15, 2015) the collections fell drastically and the film barely managed Rs 03.03 crore nett, Tuesday (June 16, 2015) showed a further down slide and the film called Rs 02.95 crore nett, Wednesday (June 17, 2015) it collected Rs 02.57 crore nett and on Thursday (June 18, 2015) the collections were about Rs 02.08 crore nett; thus making it a total of Rs 27.12 crore nett.
The film, started on a slow note at the Box Office and never picked up. Hamari Adhuri Kahani was made with a budget of about Rs 40 crore and with what we have seen so far, the film will barely cover it’s production cost.
Since a major chunk of the film has been shot in Dubai, the producers would get a subsidy which at this point in time would be of great help to the makers. Sad, but true.
Though the film hasn’t managed to pull crowds to theatres, R. Madhavan-Kangana Ranaut’s Tanu Weds Manu Returns, that released before is still going strong at the ticket windows.
Directed by Mohit Suri, the script of Hamari Adhuri Kahani has jointly been written by Mahesh Bhatt and Shagufta Rafiq.
Besides Emraan Hashmi, Vidya Balan and Rajkumar Rao the film also stars Sara Khan, Madhurima Tuli, Suhasini Mulay and Amala Akkineni.
Today (June 19, 2015) Hollywood film Spy and Varun Dhawan-Shraddha Kapoor starrer ABCD 2 have hit the silver screens. Let’s wait and watch how both these films perform at the Box Office.
