On one hand, Finding Fanny was touted to garner loads of money at the Box Office and on the other, one was expecting Creature 3D to have a decent run at the Box Office but looks like both these films have just fallen flat.
Finding Fanny was meant for urban audience while Creature 3D was expected to attract the audience from small towns. Finding Fanny managed an average first weekend but due to bad word of mouth some good numbers over weekend despite niche appeal but fete film sank at the Box Office on Monday (September 15, 2014)
Finding Fanny has managed to collect about Rs 28.10 crore nett at the Domestic Box Office at the end of its first week. The movie did average business in cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore but had a very poor run in other parts of India.
Now coming to Creature 3D, well the film has been a disaster both in terms of it’s content as well as it’s Box Office collections. Creature 3D opened to poor shows all over with as low as ten to fifteen percent occupancy per show.
Creature 3D has managed to collect about Rs 17.75 crore nett at the Domestic Box Office at the end of its first week and looks like the movie will not be able to recover its cost.
This week, September 19, 2014, saw the release of Khoobsurat starring Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan and Daawat-e-Ishq starring Aditya Roy Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. Both are youth centric films and will surely have a huge impact on the collections of both Finding Fanny and Creature 3D.
