October 2014, has been the most disastrous month so far as Box Office is concern because most of the films that have released so far this month have either tanked or have barely managed to recover their production cost.
From Mary Kom to Khoobsurat, Finding Fanny to Daawat-e-Ishq, Haider to Bang Bang; most of the films have either recovered their production cost or have been average hits at the Box Office.
If this was not enough, films like Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami, Jigariya, Sonali Cable and Tamanchey have been Box Office disastrous.
Come October 24, 2014, one will see the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year, which is expected to take the Box Office by storm. Happy New Year, directed by Farah Khan, has been passed with a U Certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
The team of the film, produced by Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt. Ltd, is excited with the news, because this ensures that audiences of all age groups can go and watch the film.
“We, at Red Chillies Entertainments, have always believed in making a film which can be enjoyed by one and all. And with U Certificate attached to the film, it is only going to enhance the potential and appeal right from the kids to youngsters to adults. From the day Farah and I decided to make Happy New Year, we wanted it to be a wholesome family entertainer. Now with the Censor’s U Certificate on it, we can proudly say that this Diwali go out with your family and watch the film because as the title, the film is a happy one.” stated Shah Rukh Khan in his statement.
