Out of the four, Barefoot To Goa and Broken Horses have been complete washouts, while Dharam Sankat Mein and Ek Paheli Leela were seen struggling at the Box Office at the end of their first weekend.
Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s maiden Hollywood flick, Broken Horses, has simply broken all records at the Box Office and has been an epic disaster. The film has managed to collect an embarrassing Rs 65 lacs nett at the end of it’s first weekend.
What’s even more embarrassing is the fact that the film has been made at a budget of about Rs 65 crore ($ 11 million) and will not even be able to recover it’s publicity cost, leave along recovering the money spent on it’s production.
Coming to Dharam Sankat Mein, well one had a lot of expectations from this film. Inspite of good reviews, the film had a lukewarm start at the Box office.
Dharam Sankat Mein managed to collect Rs 1.30 crore nett on Friday (April 10, 2015), on Saturday (April 11, 2105) it managed t0 collect about Rs 1.75 crore nett and on Sunday (April 12, 2105) the film collected about Rs 2.10 crore nett; thus making a total of about Rs 5.15 crore nett at the end of it’s fast weekend.
With veterans like Paresh Rawal, Naseeruddin Shah and Annu Kapoor; the production cost of the film went haywire and that’s one of the reasons the film will be a flop.
Last but not the least, Sunny Leone starrer Ek Paheli Leela too has been a huge let down at the Box Office. The film managed disastrous reviews and has been a total wash out as far as multiplexes are concerned.
However the film has managed to do decent business in single screens, something that was expected. The film never showed a growth as expected and at the rate things are going for this one, we are sure it would be a losing proposition for the makers.
Ek Paheli Leela managed to collect Rs 5.30 crore nett on Friday (April 10, 2015), on Saturday (April 11, 2105) it managed t0 collect about Rs 5.20 crore nett and on Sunday (April 12, 2105) the film collected about Rs 5.35 crore nett; thus making a total of about Rs 15.85 crore nett at the end of it’s fast weekend.
Coming up next week, April 17, 2015 films like Court, Ek Adbhut Dakshina..Gurudakshina, Margarita With A Straw, Mr. X and NH8 – Road To Nidhivan are up for release, none of which look promising.
Now all hopes are on Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan to break the jinx and show some magic at the Box Office.
