Remo D’Souza’s directorial film ABCD 2, the sequel to ABCD, retains it’s top position at the Box Office at the end of it’s first week and it’s all thanks to no big releases besides this one.
The film managed to collect Rs 14.30 crore nett on it’s opening Friday (June 19, 2015), on Saturday (June 20, 2015) the film collected Rs 14.54 crore nett, Sunday (June 21, 2015) the collections jumped to Rs 17.51 crore nett, Monday (June 22, 2015) the collections were rock steady with Rs 08.05 crore nett, Tuesday (June 23, 2015) it collected Rs 06.77 crore nett, Wednesday (June 24, 2015) too the collection were steady with Rs 05.68 crore nett and on Thursday (June 25, 2015) the film collected Rs 04.93 crore nett; thus making it a total of Rs 71.78 crore nett at the end of week one.
By collecting about Rs 71.78 crore nett in it’s first week, the film has broken the record of Kangana Ranaut’s Tanu Weds Manu Returns at the Box Office.
The film, starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead, is now looking forward to achieve the second highest grosser of 2015 title.
The film is heading towards entering the 100 crore club soon.
Well, the recent success of his ABCD 2 is one such example of a film released at the right time with right promotions.
Post the success of this film, looks like Remo D’Souza is on a high as he has signed a two film deal with T-Seies.
Based on the story of the Nalasopara based Fictitious Dance Group, ABCD 2 is a story of Suresh and Vinnie, a waiter and a hairdresser respectively.
Joined by dance, passion, and a common goal to win the World Starz Hip Hop Challenge in Las Vegas, Suresh and Vinnie are in this journey along with people who have the same dream.
