The most awaited show of the year, Bigg Boss finally aired on Colors on 11th October 2015. This was one of the highly anticipated reality shows of 2015 and it has certainly gotten several remote control buttons tuned into this channel. Salman Khan’s show Bigg Boss now airs at 10.30 p.m. from Monday to Friday and at 9.00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
This new timing is sure to affect the TRP ratings of a lot of other shows that air at this time slot. But, what we are focusing on here is the Star Plus’ show Tere Sheher Mein (TSM), which is already going through a pretty rough patch. TSM had a TRP rating of 1.1 a month ago, and that has significantly dropped to 0.8 as per last week’s record, which was before Bigg Boss started. And now that the much controversial but popular reality show has started, it is surely going to affect TSM’s ratings furthermore.
The Star Plus show started falling apart when the character Mantu (Dhruv Bhandari) took an exit from the show and the protagonist Amaya (Hiba Nawab) married her sister’s would-be husband. The change in the plot has drastically affected the serial’s viewership. And now, with Bigg Boss pulling in audiences like a magnet with interesting scoops and wacky tasks, it is sure to further drop the TRP of TSM.
With rumours of TSM getting a warning from the channel, and the serial introducing new characters to salvage the situation, we wonder if fans of the serial will maintain their loyalty for it.
