Sapna Bhavnani became an household name the day she entered Bigg Boss 6 and went on to win hearts. Her stay lasted for about ninety days but even during her stay this girl held her head high.
She was called names, she even had a huge spat with Salman Khan but no where did she cross the line. She never used her trauma as a tool to either garner sympathy or to get votes from the viewers, infact there was no mention about it and that shows the strength of this lady.
Her father, who owned a restaurant, died when she was eighteen. Sapna said she was very close to her father and states, “I may look like a freak, but deep inside, I’m just daddy’s little girl.”
Sapna hosted a few short episodes of a comedy entertainment web show called The Speedy Gonsalez Show on her official YouTube channel.
In September 2009, Sapna authored a non-fiction self-help book titled Style-O-Wot, targeted to teen girls, in which she gives tips related to fashion, trends and style.
In November 2011, Sapna launched her own clothing line called SoFake, with the designer-stylist Sukriti Grover, and showcased her collection, Kathorian, at the August 2012 Lakme Fashion Week.
We never saw her as someone who has gone through so much pain and trauma but post seeing this episode of Stree Shakti one is actually in awe of her.
Never judge the book by it’s cover; well that’s how I would like to sum up this lady, who I have immense respect and love for.
I may not know her, or may never meet her but it really takes a lot of guts for someone who has been gang raped to come so far.
Sapna Bhavnani is a true winner and a Stree Shakti that we all should be proud off.
Way to go girl.
