“I think every actor wants to explore every medium, and even I would like to do that. If there are roles that challenge me, I will take them up. I feel it’s also for the makers to decide. They should see me in certain roles.” states Sakshi Tanwar.
Sakshi Tanwar will be anchoring the crime show Code Red that will go on air next year.
The show according to sources will highlight crimes against women and children and deal with issues like suicide – what drives people to end their life and other psychological entrapments like a bad marriage, cheating husband, etc. and Sakshi as the presenter will highlight the problems and encourage people to reach out to troubled individuals and talk to them.
“The idea is to make people understand that they can do something to help, sometimes by just talking to the person who is undergoing some problem. It’s not about the crime but what could have been done to prevent it. The cases based on real incidents will be recreated a la Crime Patrol, but the approach will be different.” states the source close to the production team.
Incidentally, Sakshi Tanwar, who never shies away from raising her voice against crimes – she was one of the first to speak against the Delhi brutal gang rape and also took up for Shweta Prasad when she found herself in trouble with the law.
“It’s time to address the atrocities of the society as countless women and children die every day due to some mishap or the other and their stories are lost forever. Through Code Red, we want to spread awareness and take risks to combat the the problems in our society.” adds Sakshi.
Here’s wishing Sakshi Tanwar and team Code Red all the best.
