Kapil Sharma opened up about the ugly fight with his ex-team members Sunil Grover and Chandan Prabhakar at the trailer launch of Firangi. For those who do not know about this controversy, here is a recap. It was reported that while Kapil Sharma lost his cool on Sunil and Chandan on their flight back home after touring Australia with the team (it happened in March, 2017).
When Kapil was asked to talk about this fiasco and tell us his side of the story, here’s what he informed us –
Kapil acknowledged his mistake saying that yes he has used harsh words (gallis) during the show when talking to Chandan. He elaborated saying that prior to this tour, a co-star, who he was shooting with a day earlier passed away and hence he was mentally disturbed. He also said that he had requested the organizers to cancel the tour, but to no avail as tickets for the same were already sold.
He continues, that with the demise of the co-star yet fresh in his mind he was disturbed. And when during the show small issues (which could be solved by others) were bought to his notice he couldn’t take it anymore and vented it out on Chandan.
Post this, Chandan disappeared and met the team only while they were returning. Cause of this, Kapil said he once again shouted. While there was no hitting each other with shoes involved, Kapil admitted he lost his temper with Sunil when he tried to intervene.
He said that he would love for the whole cast to reunite once again. He added that he had sent an invite to Sunil for the trailer launch but the comedian was busy abroad.
Firangi stars Kapil Sharma, Ishita Dutta and Monica Gill. It has been produced by Kapil Sharma (K9 Films), and is written and directed by Rajiev Dhingra. It is set to hit cinemas on 24 November 2017.
