His claim to fame was Diya Aur Baati Hum, the show on Star Plus, in which he essayed the role of an elder brother, Vikram Arun Rathi.
Gautam walked out of the show and took part in Bigg Boss 8 thanks to his best friend Ayush Sharma and now Arpita Khan Sharma’s husband.
During his stay he got a lot of support from Salman Khan who he knew before entering Bigg Boss 8.
What was surprising was the fact that Salman Khan very rarely took him to task and even forgave him for crossing the line with Diandra Soares.
Gautam Gulati’s journey in the Bigg Boss 8 house was meticulously planned.
He entered the house with the image of being the next Armaan Kohli and very soon had a huge spat with Karishma Tanna and that was the time he grabbed eyeballs.
Post that he was kind of sidelined by most of the house mates and thus he held on to Puneet Issar, Pritam Singh and Praneet Bhatt.
As the days passed, Pritam and Praneet could see his true colours but Puneet was blind folded. This went on for a while and when Gautam got the inclination that he needed to add some spice or else he may just be evicted, he took refuge in Diandra and once again made headlines.
When the Bigg Boss 8 house hosted a party for the celebrity guests, Gautam realized that by doing what he has been doing with Diandra could go against his image, so he dropped her like a hot potato and moved on.
Post that it was a huge sympathy wave that he managed to create for himself and made all his so called fans believe that he was this poor common man and a righteous boy who never did anything wrong.
If one takes a close look at the way Gautam passed comments on the other house mates, one will clearly get to know that the comments made by him were full of sarcasm and were laced with below the belt humour.
It’s really appalling to see that the makes of Bigg Boss 8 are taking pride in the fact that Gautam Gaulati has garnered maximum number of votes and has won the converted title.
To us, it’s really sad that neither the house mates nor the viewers could see though this master planner.
Sad but true!!!
