Arjun Is My Backbone, Says Brother-In-Law Nishank Swami

Nishank Swami, who runs an advertising production house , is actor Arjun Bijlani’s brother-in-law. Swami says that the two share a great equation and are very close to each other.

“Actually, more than my Jijaji, he is my friend. He is a very important part of my life. He has supported me through every walk of my life. In fact, not only me, but he supports and helps everyone. In the seven to eight years of my career, he has been there with me during all the tough times and hardships. He talks to everyone about me, he praises me, he has been my backbone. I have also done photo shoots for him.”

Besides Arjun, Swami’s company has done catalogue shoots with other biggies such as Parineeti Chopra and Sushmita Sen.

“My first ever shoot was with Urmila Matondkar. Then the company expanded. We have done shoots with Sushmita Sen, Kajal Agarwal, South actress Samantha, Amisha Patel, Tamannaah Bhatia and also Parineeti Chopra. It was a very good experience working with them. Of course working with celebrities has its pros and cons. We have to adjust according to them but you also get to learn a lot from them. I was not perfect from the very beginning, these experiences have helped me to improve my work.”

Talking about his company, Swami says:

“We are called the Adizone, it is more of an Advertising Production House. We do not hire talent. We produce print advertisements, cards and conduct magazine shoots. We have shot in Italy, Singapore, Bangkok and London. I also have a back office in Bangkok, it is like a functional local production house. We also organise events like fashion shows, recently we had an event in Bangkok for Reliance’s Goodwill company.”

From modelling to creative designing, Swami says he’s come a long way.

“I was into modelling first. Then I tried to test my skills of creative designing. I started from my own house with just one computer. But eventually, my aunt Dipti Bhatnagar provided me with my first office. I got my own cabin with my first Apple computer. I handled everything on my own be it accounts, production, designs, but slowly the manpower started increasing and in one year we had three men working in my office. In 2009, I registered my company,” he says, adding, “After this, I got my own office and had five people working for me. Finally, in 2011 we got a pickup and it got functional as private limited. We first did a shoot with Urmila Matondkar and after that many other popular celebrities. Currently, in 2017, we have about 35 clients.”
