Against The Sun is based on a true story, where three US Navy airmen crash land their torpedo bomber in the South Pacific during World War II and find themselves on a tiny life raft, surrounded by open ocean.
No food. No water. No hope of rescue. Against incredible odds, these three virtual strangers must survive storms, sharks, starvation and each other, as they try to sail more than a thousand miles to safety.
The film stars Tom Felton (Tony Pastula), Jake Abel (Gene Aldrich), Garret Dillahunt (Harold Dixon) and Nadia Parra (Frances).
All the three men, look their parts to perfection and the trailer leaves you asking for more. The film looks promising as should be interesting to see how the makes have unfolded the drama that actually took place during World War II.
Also the fact that the makers have created the space that looks very close to era when the incident took place sounds promising.
The film looks unique as it revolves around only three characters. There has no sets and thus would have been a huge challenge for any actor or filmmaker.
Against The Sun has been filmed in Mexico, in the same outdoor water tank where James Cameron shot Titanic (1997).
The film was released to video on demand on January 23, 2015. It also played at the Arena Theater in Los Angeles and was compared to Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken, something that we feel was unfair.
Against The Sun has been directed by Brian Falk.
Releasing all India on March 06, 2015, Against The Sun is an Aghor Raj Productions Presentation.
Here’s wishing team Against The Sun all the best.
