The Strangers Prey At Night

Director: Johannes Roberts
Starring: Christina Hendricks, Martin Henderson, Bailee Madison, Lewis Pullman

A sequel to the 2008 film The Strangers, The Strangers: Prey At Night Is a thriller film in which literally anything goes.

Cindy (Christina Hendricks) & Mike (Martin Henderson) decide to send their teenage daughter Kinsey (Bailee Madison) to a boarding school and she doesn’t like that one bit. Before her school, the entire family including Kinsey’s brother Luke (Lewis Pullman), reach a secluded trailer park to spend some quality family time. They reach at night but no one’s there. Soon, three masked people begin to create havoc in their lives.

The one good & refreshing thing about the film is that, unlike many other films, there are no backstories of the criminals. Some of the scenes are really gripping and will keep you on the edge of your seat. However, there are many things that make you feel that the story is forcefully moving forward. Some scenes are even randomly chopped and you are left wondering what’s happening.

Bailee Madison plays the part of a rebellious teenager really well. Lewis Pullman is also good. Christina Hendricks and Martin Henderson are fine.

The Strangers: Prey At Night has some redeeming moments but that’s about it. We give it 2 stars with no kink.
