The Commuter Movie Review: A Good, Crisp Thriller

The Commuter is similar to the movies we’ve seen in the past but is still quite engaging.

Michael MacCauley (Liam Neeson) is abruptly fired from his job and doesn’t even have the courage to tell his wife. On his way back home on that day he’s pink-slipped, a mysterious woman, Joanna (Vera Farmiga) gives him a task for which he will get a lot of money. He accepts but the task is quite dangerous, to say the least.

The film is a crisp thriller and makes you want to solve the task along with Michael. It has some really good action scenes and the elongated train mishap scene, in the end, takes the cake. You are immensely involved despite the highly implausible plot.

Liam Neeson delivers a great performance, especially in the action sequences. Farmiga is good in her small role. The other actors are fine.

The Commuter is a decent film with good action. We give it 3 stars with a kink.
