Rocketman is the biographical musical biopic of English singer, songwriter, pianist, and composer Reginald Kenneth Dwight aka Sir Elton Hercules John. The film captures key moments in his transformation in becoming Sir Elton John – including his not so happy childhood, meeting life-long songwriting partner Bernie Taupin, his suicide attempt and more.

The musical scenes bring the movie to life. The songs make the narrative better than any dialogue. Taupin’s lyrics being used as dialogue gives the film more feel.

The film shows how his distant relationship with his parents became an inspiration for his creative drive and self-destructive habits, his tendency to compensate emptiness, fears and doubts with drugs and alcohol and the pressure of his increasing fame. Most importantly, it focused on how he being a gay affected his life.

The costumes used in the film are elaborate and in sync with what Elton wore in real life. His glares collection will make you want to get it yourself.

Watch it for the beautiful way it has been.
