But Pitbull won’t just be hosting the show; he’ll also be performing a new song from his upcoming album, Globalization, which releases on November 24, 2014, which is the day after the awards show airs.
Last year, Pitbull had the audiences glued to there television sets and it only made sense to bring him back on board for this year’s awards show.
“Pitbull is a global superstar and multi-talented powerhouse, who delivered one of the most exciting shows in American Music Awards history when he hosted in 2013. This year will be no different. We’re working together to create elements of the show that will wow audiences and take the night to a whole new level.” stated the American Music Awards producer, Larry Klein.
Pitbull is also excited being the host the second year around and stated that it’s a great opportunity for him to connect with his fans.
“World, who would have thought Pitbull hosting The American Music Awards two years in a row. The harder I work, the luckier I get. Thank you ABC and dick clark productions for the amazing opportunity, more than anything let’s get ready to have fun. Dale!” stated Pitbull in his official statement.
Later that week, Pitbull will perform during the halftime show on Thanksgiving Day when the Dallas Cowboys play the Philadelphia Eagles.
Iggy Azalea is the leading nominee at The American Music Awards 2014 with six. John Legend, Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams have five nominations each. Lorde is up for four honors at the fan-voted show.
Those acts are all nominated for Artist Of The Year, competing with Beyonce, Luke Bryan, Eminem, Imagine Dragons and One Direction.
The American Music Awards 2014 will be held on November 24, 2014 and will be aired live on ABC.
