Doctor Antony Kidman died yesterday (September 12, 2014) after suffering a suspected heart attack in the restaurant at the Tanglin Club – a private hotel he had been staying at while visiting his daughter Antonia and six grandchildren.
Police confirmed that Doctor Antony Kidman, in his 80’s died at Tan Tock Seng Hospital about 10:00 am and were now investigating the exact cause of death.
A doctor and guests at the hotel who were present tried to resuscitate him before paramedics arrived and he was taken to hospital but he was later pronounced dead.
Nicole Kidman is expected to arrive home from the US on Sunday (September 14, 2014) to her grieving family in Sydney, while Antonia Kidman’s husband Craig Marran endured the difficult task of visiting a Singapore mortuary to formally identify his father-in-law.
Doctor Antony Kidman, was director of the Royal North Shore Hospital’s Health Psychology Unit and director of the Health Psychology Unit at the University of Technology, Sydney.
Today morning, September 13, 2014, Nicole Kidman’s husband Keith Urban posted a message to fans on Facebook in which he spoke of his family’s pain.
“I’m so very sorry that I cannot perform this weekend,” he said in reference to his scheduled performance at the Washington State Fair.
“We are in a deep state of grief at the passing of Nic’s Father and are heading to Australia to be with family. We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for their love, prayers and support through this devastating loss.” Keith Urban posted on his Facebook account.
In the mean while, tributes have been pouring in for a greatly admired man who made a significant impact across his field.
Doctor Antony Kidman, you shall be missed.
