Mission: Impossible Fallout, the 6th installment of the Mission: Impossible series. 22 years, 6 movies, 1 lead actor and no reboots that in itself is one laudable feat. The franchise only seems to gain momentum with each passing installment. The word ‘Fallout’ in the title of the movie refers to fallout from the events of the previous film.

Catch the trailer of Mission: Impossible Fallout:

A terrorist group led by a mysterious figure called John Lark is in the process of acquiring three nuclear bombs. Super-spy Ethan Hunt (Cruise, of course) attempts to retrieve the bombs from the bad guys, but an operation involving his long-term partners Benji (Simon Pegg and Luther (Ving Rhames) sees the explosives move far beyond his grasp.
Chastened, and knowing that thousands could die within days, Hunt embarks on a second mission that brings in an imposing CIA agent, August Walker (Henry Cavill, sporting the moustache), and involves snatching Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’s anarchist villain, Solomon Lane (Sean Harris) from captivity.

Cruise gets to ride a motorbike, jump between buildings, rock climbing, in short, all that he did in last 5 segments of MI series but this time director Christopher McQuarrie takes it a notch up. Henri Cavill rises to top the supporting cast as CIA agent August Walker. A “hammer to Ethan Hunt’s scalpel”. Walker gets some jaw-dropping action sequences too. Benji (Simon Pegg) and Luther (Ving Rhames) thrown-in their one-liners to leave the audience in splits, as expected from them. Every scene is a turn-around or a twist or a surprise so the credit goes to the writer.

According to us, Mission: Impossible Fallout is by far the best action film not just in meticulously planned action sequences perspective, stunt, and choreography perspective but in cinematography perspective.
We would like to suggest changing the franchise’s name from Mission: Impossible to “Tom Cruise breaks his bones in this film”.

We give it 4 stars with a kink.
