In honour of World AIDS Day 2014, twenty five top app developers have teamed up with Apple to raise funds for the Global Fund to fights AIDS.
“Players can show their support by participating in special (RED) events and purchasing exclusive (RED) in-game items like (RED) Beats headphones,” she said in a statement.
“As a thank you for their support, players can take a (RED) branded selfie with me and share to their social networks! Players can even attend a (RED) fundraiser event in-game. I’m thrilled to be able to support (RED) through Kim Kardashian: Hollywood,” she added.
As part of the special features, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star’s mother and manager Kris Jenner will become the first member of the family to get her own avatar as she helps gamers get to the top of the A-list.
For the next two weeks popular apps like Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, Angry Birds and Bubble Witch 2 Saga will be donating proceeds from downloads and in-app purchases to AIDS organisation (RED).
Kim Kardashian is working with multinational corporations Apple and (RED) in honour of World AIDS Day (December 01, 2014). Through her app, she’s offering exclusive new content and funds of all the in-app purchases will be donated to the Global Fund in a bid to eradicate the disease, reports contactmusic.com.
Other participating apps include Garageband, FarmVille 2: Country Escape, Disney Frozen Free Fall, The Ellen DeGeneres Approved Heads Up! and Kitchen Stories Cookbook featuring Mario Batalli and Martha Stewart.
Apple says it has raised $ 75 million for the cause over the past eight years. Now, it’s launching a new twist with the Apps for (RED) campaign. The company says any time a customer buys certain apps or certain virtual goods within those apps, the money will go to the global fund.
