While Teresa Giudice got fifteen months in prison; her husband Joe Giudice got three years and five months. Their sentences will be staggered so that one parent will be available to care for their four daughters while the other is in prison.
Teresa Giudice will go to prison first. She must surrender on January 05, 2014 which gives her time to spend the holidays with her family.

I deserve blame and punishment for the poor choices I have made.” stated Joe Giudice who was also ordered to pay $414,588.90 in restitution and enter an alcohol treatment program in prison.
Joe, forty four, had admitted being responsible for the bulk of the fraud in the case. The couple were ordered to make $414,588 in restitution, and Joe must pay $224,211 in back taxes owed on $1.2 million in income. As part of their plea agreements,Teresa Giudice was supposed to show up with $200,000 to go toward the restitution, but the funds are still being processed, one of her attorneys said.
The couple had pleaded guilty in March 2014 to hiding assets from bankruptcy creditors and submitting fake loan applications to get around $5 million in mortgages and construction loans.
Joe also pleaded guilty to failing to file a tax return for 2004, although he has acknowledged he didn’t file taxes on income of approximately $1 million between 2004 and 2008.
