Insidious: The Last Key is a decent horror film that has enough in it to scare you.

Parapsychologist Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) gets a call from a man who feels his house is haunted. When he gives the address, Elise is shocked as it’s her own childhood home in which she was assaulted by her own father. Along with her helpers Tucker (Angus Sampson) & Specs (Leigh Whannell), she reaches the house to hunt the ghost and also to get some closures about her childhood.

The story of the film is a bit baffling to say the least with many unexpected twists and turns. There are many good creepy as hell scenes like the whistle scene or the suitcase scene. Thank God for the funny scenes involving Tucker & Specs that provide the much-needed break from the creepy ones.

You are totally engrossed in the film and want to get to the bottom of it. Having said that, the climax is a bit underwhelming though.

Elise Rainier is great and convincing. Angus Sampson and Leigh Whannell act well.

You should definitely watch the film to get some spooky feels. We give it 3 stars with a kink.
