Halloween

Feature Name: Halloween
Directed by: David Gordon Green
Starring: Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Virginia Gardner, Nick Castle

First things first, Halloween is extremely gruesome and isn’t for the faint-hearted.

A direct sequel to the 1978 film of the same name, Halloween is set in present day. Two podcasters, Aaron Korey (Jefferson Hall) and Dana Haines (Rhian Rees) want to understand more about Michael Myers (Nick Castle), who was captured after killing many people mercilessly in 1978. Currently under custody, he refuses to speak with Aaron and Dana. They then meet Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), who’s the sole survivor of the 1978 murders. She refuses to show any sort of mercy for Michael, who soon escapes from custody and is back killing people.

Halloween is an excellent thriller. There’s a constant sense of dread almost throughout the film. It’s all about Michael’s merciless killings. You are constantly at the edge of your seat. I didn’t have any nail left by the time the film got over. It is disturbing yet entertaining. The only small drawback is that it is a bit too flabby in the middle.

Nick Castle is simply superb. His body language is just perfect. Jamie Lee Curtis is fantastic. The other actors do a fine job.

Halloween is not an easy watch but you’ll like it nevertheless. We give it three stars with a kink.
