Critics Choice Movie Awards 2015: Michael Keaton Creates History

awards-10Michael Keaton became the first person in the history of the Critics Choice Movie Awards to win three awards in a single year.

Fresh off their Oscar nominations, Birdman and Boyhood were major award winners at the Critics Choice Movie Awards 2015.

The Broadcast Film Critics Associated presented Birdman with a leading seven trophies, but it’s top honor, best picture, went to Richard Linklater’s coming of age story, Boyhood.

Birdman was awarded the Critics Choice Movie Awards 2015 for Original Screenplay, Cinematography, Editing, Acting Ensemble, Score and two trophies for star Michael Keaton.

Richard Linklater picked up best director for Boyhood, while Patricia Arquette won Best Supporting Actress and Ellar Coltrane won Best Young Actor.

The Grand Budapest Hotel claimed three awards, including Best Comedy.

 

Michael Strahan hosted the gala and had everyone in splits.
