Veteran singer Mohammad Aziz, 64, died today in Mumbai’s Nanavati Hosptial. The singer has lent his voice to songs in Hindi, Bengali and Odia films. He is known for his voice in songs like Tu Na Ja Mere Badshah from Khuda Gawah and My Name Is Lakhan from Ram Lakhan.
Mohammad Aziz was admitted in Mumbai’s Nanavati Hosptial where he took his last breath due to cardiac arrest.
Aziz was a big fan of veteran singer Mohammed Rafi and hence started singing during his childhood. After making his singing debut with Bengali film Jyoti, he moved to Mumbai. Music composer Anu Malik gave him a break in the movie Mard for which he sang ‘Mard Taangewala’. He later worked with Kalyanji-Anandji, Laxmikant-Pyarelal, Rahul Dev Burman, Naushad, O. P. Nayyar, Bappi Lahiri, Rajesh Roshan and many more.
