January 05, 2105, Uday Chopra turns forty two. From being an assistant director to an actor, a script writer to finally managing the Hollywood production house YRF Entertainment; Uday Chopra has come a long way.
He stared his Bollywood journey as an assistant director with films like Parampara, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Dil To Pagal Hai.
Uday Chopra almost had everything served to him on a platter. The Chopra scion made his debut with the blockbuster movie Mohabbatein but lost his way down the line.
Post his debut film, followed films like Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, Mujhse Dosti Karoge, Supari and Charas. Non of the film did well at the Box Office.
He tried his hand at solo films like Pyaar Impossible and Neal N Nikki but both the films bombed at the Box Office.
However it was in the year, 2004, that Uday got Dhoom and till date is known for playing the loveable and funny Ali in all the Dhoom series.
His fans loved him in Dhoom as the bike lover who chased the villains on his super cool bikes and helped the police.
In Dhoom 2, he was reduced to a comic relief and in Dhoom 3 he was hardly around. Though there was a section of audiences who went it to see their Ali.
He was recently in the news for his alleged relationship with Nargis Fakhri, their candid holiday photos, and subsequent break-up. According to the buzz, they are once again back together.
Uday Chopra is currently learning film making at University Of California, Los Angeles. In 2014 he produced two films; Grace Of Monaco, a the biopic about Grace Kelly starring Nicole Kidman in the leading role.
He also produced the Hollywood film The Longest Week, a comedy-drama starring Olivia Wilde and Jason Bateman. It is the first project of Yash Raj Film‘s subsidiary Hollywood production house YRF Entertainment.
