Khamoshiyan narrates the story of a young novelist Kabir (Ali Fazal) who is a one-book wonder. He is on an inspirational journey to find himself and to write his book. He meets a young and beautiful lady Meera (Sapna Pabbi) who runs the isolated guest-house which he finds eerie.
Meera is married to the owner of this guest-house Jaidev (Gurmeet Choudhary) but has apparently killed him.
Kabir begins to encounter unusual things and discovers secrets about the house and Meera. The more Kabir interacts with Meera about these strange incidents, the more he gets drawn towards her. What are the secrets that are hidden in her silences is what Khamoshiyan is all about.
Khamoshiyan is touted as Gurmeet Choudhary’s debut film, but the trailer features him in just one shot. The whole trailer rides high on Ali Fazal and Sapna Pabbi, and gives very little impetus to Gurmeet.
However both Ali Fazal and Sapna Pabbi look extremely uncomfortable during the intimate scenes, which as expected are in abundance.
The shocking part about Khamoshiyan is the fact that it looks very similar to Murder 3. If this was not enough, the story for this seems to be borrowed from the famous Hollywood psycho thriller Silence Of The Lambs. However, it can’t be confirmed until we check out the full film.
At the end of it the only thing that would be the highlight of Khamoshiyan would be it’s music and nothing else. Guess it’s time to hear the film and now see it.
Directed by Karan Darra, the film stars Ali Fazal, Gurmeet Choudhary and Sapna Pabbi. Produced by Vishesh Films and presented by Fox Star Studios, the film is set to release on January 30, 2015.
