One look at the trailer and it’s not very difficult to say that Ayushmann Khurrana falls flat and does not look the part at all. Guess he should have seen Leonardo Di Caprio in The Aviator and got inspired before attempting this one.
While The Aviator (2004) was a Howard Hughes biopic, a aviation pioneer; Hawaizaad is based on the life of scientist Shivkar Bapuji Talpade, who is said to have built India’s first unmanned aeroplane.
A few days ago, the posters of Hawaizaada were unveiled revealing Ayushmann’s nerdy look for the film, while giving us a glimpse of his character’s dream to create the plane.
In the Hawaizaada poster, Ayushmann is seen wearing a pair of red shorts with a white shirt and suspenders, and something like Kolhapuri chappals on hie feet. In the other image, he is wearing a red and green ethnic Indian outfit.
It’s sad that instead of looking like a genius, as the scientist Shivkar Bapuji Talpade was, Ayushmann is looking more of a retard.
The film, which is being helmed by Vibhu Virendra Puri, also stars Pallavi Sharda and Mithun Chakraborty and is slated to release on January 30, 2015.
Hawaizaada stars Ayushmann Khurrana who has a legacy of films like Nautanki Saala and Bewakoofiyan behind him. His debut film, Vicky Donor, is his only came to fame.
It is said that in real life, this great scientist was subjected to a lot of criticism and faced lots of difficulties as his concepts were mocked at.
It seems Ayushmann Khurrana too is following the foot steps of the great scientist, as post the film he too would be mocked at and will, for sure, face a lot of criticism.
Looks like Hawaizaada also would end up tanking at the Box Office.
