Tigmanshu Dhulia Ponders Upon Movie’s Release In Pakistan

The trailer of Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Milan Talkie released a few hours ago. Starring Ali Fazal, Shraddha Srinath, Ashutosh Rana, Sanjay Mishra, Reecha Sinha, and Sikander Kher the film is all about a desi romance and the problems the lovers face.

Check out the trailer here:

At the trailer launch, Sikander Kher opened up about playing a negative character. Here’s what he said;
“It was great yaar. You know when the script is written so well when the characters are written seamlessly for any actor, it’s a lot easier to do.”

Given that many Bollywood films won’t be releasing in Pakistan due to the Pulwama attack here what Tigmanshu Dhulia has to say:
“The film will not release in Pakistan.”

Elaborating further he said:
“First we stand in solidarity (with the armed forces). Secondly, piracy job hoti hai woh Pakistan se hoti hai (Piracy happens from Pakistan). In fact, humko kabhi bhi picture Pakistan mai release nahi karni chahiye (We should never release our films in Pakistan).”

When asked his take on the ban of Pakistani artist in India post the Pulwama attack in Kashmir, here’s what Tigmanshu Dhulia said:
“Philal toh ban hona hi chahiye his tarah ki stithi hai. Stithi behtar ho jaye toh hum baihey fela lenge. (Given the current state, the ban should be there. Once the situation improves we will welcome them with opens arms)”

Produced by Filmy Keeda Productions in association with Om Prakash Bhatt’s Purple Bull Entertainment, this Tigmanshu Dhulia directorial releases on March 16.
