“Sonam Kapoor, who was being treated at the Sterling Hospital for swine flu infection has been taken to Mumbai today by an air ambulance.” stated Doctor Kamal Parikh, Medical Director of the hospital.
Sonam Kapoor, who has been shooting for Rajshri Production’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo in which she stars opposite actor Salman Khan, was admitted in the hospital on February 28, 2015 after she had complained of mild fever, cold and cough, following which test for swine flu was conducted on her.
It is being said that the actress contracted the deadly virus from her trainer who too also happens to be under treatment in Mumbai.
“Sonam, who was suffering from high fever, was earlier admitted to Sterling Hospital in Rajkot on the morning of February 28, 2015. Her blood samples have tested positive for swine flu. Her physical fitness trainer has also tested positive for swine flu.” said a source.
Once this news reached her parents, her mother Sunita Kapoor came to see her at Rajkot and took her in an air ambulance. Soman Kapoor is now been treated at the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
Salman Khan was already shooting in Gondal for the last one week. She arrived in Gondal about two to three days prior to her shooting schedule, but had to return to Mumbai because of her health condition.
Rajkot collector Manisha Chandra stated that that a team from the district health department had visited the film’s crew but no tests have been conducted on any other crew member as no influenza-like syndrome was seen in them.
A month ago, Sonam was admitted to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital after contacting a respiratory infection.
Here’s wishing Sonam a speedy recovery.
