One of the most powerful couples in Bollywood today, both Shah Rukh and Gauri looked beautiful together. Shah Rukh Khan looked debonair as he sported a black suit, while Gauri Khan looked stunning in a red and golden ghagra sari.
“Dubai is the new hub of the world. This is not my second home. It’s my home. We were so emotionally connected to it. At first there were six characters but at the end there were seven: Dubai.” stated Shah Rukh Khan post the premiere in Dubai.
In September 2013, team Happy New Year was in Dubai filming some of the most important scenes from the film, including it’s climax. Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone were spotted at various locations in Dubai shooting portions that required them to dance and emote.
“It is a very emotional moment for me. I want to thank the Dubai Film Commission and everybody in Dubai. Happy New Year is India’s big Diwali release. Just to clarify: I am not one of the richest actors in the world. But I want to be an actor who is rich in giving and spreading happiness.” stated an emotional Shah Rukh Khan.
According to Farah Khan, Happy New Year has been about team work. They have been highs and lows during the making of the film but looking at the end result everyone is very happy and satisfied.
Happy New Year, a musical heist, revolves around six losers – Charlie, Mohini, Nandu, Temhton, Jagmohan and Rohan – who participate in a dance competition to pull off the greatest musical heist ever. It also features Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Boman Irani, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah.
Directed by Farah Khan and produced by Gauri Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment, the movie also features Jackie Shroff. It will hit the screens on October 24, 2014.
Here’s wishing Shah Rukh Khan and his team Happy New Year all the best and we do hope that the film has a blast at the Box Office.
