However there has been a lot of buzz about the rift between the two, which surfaced when Shah Rukh Khan gave Koffee With Karan Season 4 a miss. In fact Shah Rukh’s spot as the season debut guest was filled by none other than Salman Khan.
It is said that Shah Rukh Khan’s relations with Karan Johar have reportedly turned sour as neither is seen interacting with the other of late.
Shah Rukh Khan, who is gearing up for the release of his next film Happy New Year says that his alleged absence from Karan life is because he doesn’t get time to spend with him. Shah Rukh has several friends in the film industry, but he says he doesn’t get ample time to spend with them.
“I’m working at most times. You get to make friends during the time you are working. I have not worked with Karan for the last two years, so I have not spent time with him. With Farah, I’m working from the last one and a half years, but before that, for two years, I didn’t spend time with her.” states Shah Rukh Khan who has been busy promoting Happy New Year.
Shah Rukh and Karan Johar last worked together in My Name Is Khan (2012), which created magic at the Box Office. In the past, both Shah Rukh and Karan have delivered blockbusters like Kal Ho Naa Ho, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, among others.
Meanwhile, the fact that Shah Rukh Khan was not spotted at any of Karan’s party and vice versa intensified the rumours.
To add to all of this, Salman Khan’s growing bond with Karan Johar, who will now appear in his ambitious project Shhuddhi clearly indicates the rift between the two friends.
If this is not proof enough, Karan who is know to be very vocal about his likes and dislikes about a project has not yet spoken about Happy New Year.
