Today, Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt finally walked out of jail after serving his term. His family, friends and fans were eagerly waiting for this day. As Sanju Baba stepped out of the jail premise he saluted the Indian flag placed on top of the jail building and carried a bag full of his belongings and his inmate file. The actor’s filmmaker friend Rajkumari Hirani was present to shoot his jail exit, which will be a part of his upcoming biopic. This was planned as per Dutt’s desire.
His wife Maanyata and a few close friends were there to receive him and took him to Lohegaon Airport where he would board a chartered flight to get back to his home in Mumbai.
The actor spent 42 months in Yerawada jail as a remainder of his five year sentence for possession and destruction of an AK-56 rifle. He is finally free and is gearing up to get back to the daily grind.
Talking about the star’s release, Hirani said, “We are happy that Sanju is back. He has served his term and he’s going to come back and play his second innings. Indians are famous for scoring well in the second innings. I’m sure he’ll come back and rock it. I look forward to his biopic and also to starting Munna Bhai 3 with him very soon.”
We wish the Munnabhai all the very best for his future ventures.
