Dia Mirza exchanged marital vows with business partner and now Sahil Sangha looking drop dead gorgeous in a green and beige ensemble designed by Ritu Kumar.
If Dia Mirza looked royal in Ritu Kumar’s creation, Sahil Sangha looked dapper in a Raghavendra Rathore designed outfit.
“The look is classic with no embroidery and comprises a cream silk linen brocade achkan with an emerald green pocket square. This has been paired with an inner emerald green kurta which matches with what Dia wore. An offwhite safa with a sarpech which has emeralds embedded completes the look. Incidentally, we have also designed the outfits for his mehndi and sangeet.” commented Raghavendra Rathore.
The couple, who got engaged in New York earlier this year, had an Arya Samaj wedding ceremony at a farmhouse in Ghitorni here. The duo came out post wedding and posed for the shutterbugs.
According to sources, celebrities like Lara Dutta, Sushmita Sen, Cyrus Sahukar and Zayed Khan attended the wedding.
Dia Mirza was see basking in all the love and attention that was being showered on to her.
“I’ve grown up in a nuclear family environment and have never been exposed to a large family and Sahil’s family is enormous. It’s really been wonderful meeting all of them and getting to know them. It’s a time of joy and love, and I feel overwhelmed. A lot of what you feel as a bride is about how others are feeling around you. All of your emotions are an extension of what everybody around you is feeling, there’s joy, tears, laughter, all of it.” states an emotional Dia.
The newly married couple is going to spend Diwali with the family in Delhi given that it’s just around the corner. After that they will be returning to Mumbai.
“We will spend Diwali in Delhi and then shall be back in Mumbai. We are starting our next production so we need to work on that. It made more sense to go away for honeymoon around New Year as nobody works during that time of the year. I have no idea where we’re going.” informs a radiant Dia who just cannot hide her excitement.
Here’s wishing both Dia and Sahil all the happiness.
