Tanu Weds Manu Returns stars Kangana Ranaut in a double role. She plays Tanu (from the first movie) who is now struggling with her four-year-old marriage and a Haryanvi athlete. Talking about her roles, Kangana Ranaut had earlier said that both the characters have several scenes together.
The look of both the sisters we revealed via Twitter and by the looks of it the two sisters as different as chalk and cheese. While one is girly and bindaas the other is a sportive tomboy.
It will be interesting to see their chemistry as the two have several scenes together. And for die-hard Kangana fans, it is double treat for the price of one.
Coming to R. Madhavan, well he has lost oodles of weight for the movie and seems to have opted for a clean shaven look. He looks surprisingly fit and dapper for his age. The actor shared his selfie on Twitter and wrote about how odd he feels going back to his clean shaven look. He was recently seen sporting a beard a long hair which he had to trim for Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
The sequel to Aanand L. Rai’s 2011 hit Tanu Weds Manu has been in the making for a very long time but it looks like the project has finally taken off.
R. Madhavan and Jimmy Shergill will also be reprising their roles for the movie. This time the film will focus on the married life of Tanu and Manu and how her commitment phobia comes in the way of their marriage’s stability. Apparently, south superstar Dhanush will also play a cameo role in the film.
Tanu Weds Manu directed by Aanand L. Rai and co-starring R. Madhavan was a surprise hit of 2011 and catapulted Kangana back into limelight.
Aanand L. Rai, who directed the original Tanu Weds Manu, is co-producing this one. Tanu Weds Manu Returns will be shot in parts of North India and in London.
Here’s wishing the entire team of Tanu Weds Manu Returns all the best!!
