Ram Charan Teja announced he would donate Rs 15 lakh for the victims of cyclone Hudhud in Vishakhapatnam. He has also urged his fans to join him in this endeavour to reach out to as many people as possible.
The Hudhud cyclone has created quite a havoc in Vizaq and it’s surrounding areas. Ram Charan Teja even appealed to fans of his father Chiranjeevi to actively participate in the relief work.
“I declare Rs.10 lakh towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the victims of the cyclone and Rs 5 lakh towards Ramakrishna Mission. I request all my fans to extend their support to the people of Vishakhapatnam.” stated Ram Charan Teja in his official statement.
According to Ram Charan Teja, the people of Vishakhapatnam have supported his family and their films for many years and he feels that this is his pay back time and is doing all that he can to help the victims.
Ram Charan Teja is currently riding high on the success of director Krishna Vamshi’s Govindudu Andarivadele that has been produced by Bandla Ganesh Babu. Govindudu Andarivadele is the most successful film of the year 2014 that starts Kajal Aggarwal along with Ram Charan Teja.
Ram Charan Teja will also contribute lemon rice, water and medicines to the victims through his fans. Food for about five thousand people will reach the victims in Vishakhapatnam today (October 14, 2104).
The Andra Pradesh government headed by Chandra Babu Naidu is doing its best to help the needy. From putting up relief camps to providing water to medicines as well as food are being arranged for the victims.
Other stars like Manchu Manoj is making due plans to take his team to Vizaq and help the cyclone victims. Pawan Kalyan announced Rs 50 lakh for the fund and stated that he would soon visit the cyclone hit areas.
Manchu Manoj appealed to people to celebrate Diwali with simplicity and donate the saved money towards relief work.
