After the success of Pyaar Ka Punchnama, the makers of the film are back with the sequel titled Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2. The sequel stars Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha, Sonalli Sehgall, Sunny Singh, Omkar Kapoor and Ishita Sharma. Well, the first part didn’t have any great songs except the track Ban Gaya Kutta, so there are hardly any expectations from the music of the sequel.
It’s a film that is made to attract youth. So, here comes a party number titled Sharabi. It’s a strictly okay number with lyrics which just concentrates on one thing and that is alcohol. Sharib and Toshi’s music is fine, and along with Raja Hasan they have sung it very well. However, we cannot call this number a party anthem.
After a not-so-impressive start, our expectations had fallen flat with the album of the film. But, then came in the song titled Paro. It is the best track in the album. A foot-tapping number which explains what happens when someone falls in love. Everyone will relate to the hook phrase which is ‘Dil ab yaaron ka, Ho gaya ab Paro ka’. Hitesh Sonik succeeds in composing an entertaining number. Dev Negi and Shipra Goyal vocals are amazing in the track.
After two high-on energy numbers, Hitesh Sonik once again comes in with a romantic number titled Heeriye. It’s a sweet regular romantic track, but Mohit Chauhan’s excellent voice makes a wonderful hearing experience for us.
The album ends with the track Moorakh which has hard-core rock music. It explains how guys are a moorakh (jerk/foolish) when it comes to their relationship. Though the music of the track is strictly mediocre, what impresses us are the lyrics and Divya Kumar’s amazing voice which saves the track.
