Pankaj Tripathi, who has won a National Award for his performance in Newton has been running from one shooting schedule to the other. 2018 has been a special year for Pankaj as he has 8 projects that will be releasing this year.
Angrezi Mein Kehete Hain, which released on 18th May 2018, saw Pankaj in a small role in the film and has been very well received by the audience and critics alike. Tripathi had another release lined up on the same day, Harjeeta, which marks his Punjabi film debut. Pankaj played the character of Indian hockey protégé, Harjeet Singh’s coach. Following this, Pankaj will also make a debut with Tamil superstar, Rajnikanth in the much-awaited film, Kaala. He will also be seen in the Aman Kaushik directed horror comedy, Stree, with Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. Apart from these films, the award-winning actor will also be seen in Anubhav Sinha’s political satire, Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai, with an ensemble cast that includes Saurabh Shukla, Vinay Pathak, Pawan Malhotra, Richa Chadha, Kumud Mishra, Divya Dutta, Manoj Pahwa, Dilip Prabhavalkar and Prateik Babbar to name a few. The Masaan actor is also one of the main characters of the upcoming romantic crime drama, Phamous.
Pankaj also has 2 web series in his kitty; Farhan Akhtar’s crime drama Mirzapur with Ali Fazal and Shweta Tripathi, and the newly announced Indian remake of the BBC series, Criminal Justice.
