Box office was going to witness the biggest clash of 2018 – Padmaavat Vs. Padman, but apparently, nothing of such sorts is going to happen! Today, Akshay Kumar called a press conference where he announced that he will be shifting the release date of his movie Padman to 9th of February, and give all the space to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-talked project, Padmaavat.
Talking about the dates, Sanjay stated:
“I feel grateful as Akshay Kumar shifted the release date of ‘Padman’. He didn’t even take two minutes.”
Akshay Kumar also mentioned:
“Sanjay Leela Bhansali asked me if I could postpone the release date. I felt like I should because we are a family. He has gone through a lot. His need for this date is more than mine. They have a reason to release their movie as quickly as possible. We both can release on the same day easily and share the theatres, but their stakes are much higher than ours.”
Well, that one is a smart decision, Akshay!
