Mumbai 125 KM 3D is about five friends – Prem (Karanvir Bohra), Vivek (Vije Bhatia), Aashika (Vedita Pratap Singh), Diya (Aparnaa Bajpai) and Jaks (Joey Debroy), who win free entries to an exclusive new year’s night party in Mumbai.
But on their way to Mumbai, they experience weird encounters on the highway. They get stranded on a supposed deserted road that leads to nowhere and then kick starts a series of gruesome murders.
Poonam (Veena Malik) the ghost is out to seek revenge from the gang of party crazy friends, whose reckless rash driving killed her family on the highway. One by one, she hunts down all the five friends and quenches her thirst for revenge.
Mumbai 125 KM 3D begins well, but the way these five friends lose their way, the film too loses it’s way the moment Pooman enters frame and from here on Mumbai 125 KM 3D is a bunch of predictable scenes.
As a ghost, Veena Malik looks effective, but what doesn’t work is her ability to fly as it looks very tacky. Also, the scenes, where Veena Malik is clad in a bikini looks ghastly. Mumbai 125 KM 3D is all about below the belt sensual scenes.
Karanvir Bohra, Vedita Pratap Singh and Vije Bhatia try to do justice with whatever little they have been given to do. What’s sad is the fact that the makes though that by projecting Veena Malik as a sex object they would attract audiences as Madam Veena grabs your attention, mostly for the wrong reasons.
Mumbai 125 KM 3D is a must watch for all those who do not have an air condition in their house as they can enjoy a great nap in the cool dark theatre.
