The film has crass humour, it makes a mockery of a sensitive issue like rape and it’s a tale told in the most juvenile manner; well, we are talking about Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho that’s just been released.
Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho opens with a shameful visual of a bra shop in a street market and when it’s first ten minutes are dedicated to what the filmmaker thought was a joke on how women buy their undergarments in our villages. Disgusting!!
This sequence is such a put off, as it shows what the film is all about, sad and below the belt.
In all of this we have an impotent headman of the village Sualal Gandaas (Annu Kapoor), whose much younger wife, Maya (Hrishitaa Bhatt), has the hots for the village electrician Arjun (Rahul Bagga) and she does all that she can to invite him into her bedroom. Disgusting Again!!
Suddenly Arjun Prasad is falsely accused of raping a buffalo and thus stars a case that just goes on and on. The sequences are never ending, all you can do is yawn and wait film to finally end.
What’s shocking is the fact that actors like Annu Kapoor, Om Puri, Sanjay Mishra and Ravi Kishan actually agreed to be a part of this buffoonery.
Without doubt, Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho is an obnoxious film that’s a huge embarrassment. The film has nothing to offer, but some sick sexual innuendoes.
Vinod Kapri, one more of those journalist turned filmmakers, who has belted out an epic disaster. In his effort to make a film, Vinod Kapri has ended up with cheap and vulgar dialogues and crude portrayal of the milieu where his story is set.
I am aghast that someone can actually make a film like this and then had the guts to release the same.
I am also aghast to see that a prolific filmmaker like Rajkumar Hirani and a megastar like Amitabh Bachchan have actually supported a crass and shoddy film like this. Shocking!!
Anyways, not a single thing in Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho makes it worth a watch.
Avoid it completely and save yourself from this torture.
